Percentages lie about scale. A 1% move on a $10B company shifts $100M. A 5% move on a $400M company shifts $20M — the percentage looks more dramatic, but the dollar impact is 5× smaller. MVM forces an honest comparison: where is actual capital moving?
The sector bars below show dollar-weighted conviction — where money is accumulating and where it's draining out. That's how portfolio managers think. This is that lens applied to 500+ post-IPO companies.
The ratio of trading friction (bid-ask spread) to intraday price movement. Small when the spread is tight and the stock moved a meaningful amount — clean, efficient movement. Large when the spread is wide relative to the move, or the stock barely moved at all.
The sign tells you direction. The magnitude tells you efficiency. |BLE| < 0.15 — tight spread, meaningful move, regardless of direction.
