FIFA World Cup qualification and results
From to 2008 to 2024 there were three teams qualified to the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup; it has been four since 2025. Colombia has been the only South American team to reach the final finishing as runners-up in 2022. Venezuela placed in fourth place in 2014 and 2016. Brazil has reached the quarter-finals three times, and Ecuador once.
