Preseason Regular season On January 25, 2020, the 76ers hosted the eventual champion Los Angeles Lakers, in a 108–91 victory. The next day, Lakers legend and Philadelphia native Kobe Bryant died in a California helicopter crash, along with his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven others.
