Markéta Vondroušová defeated Ons Jabeur in the final, 6–4, 6–4 to win the ladies' singles tennis title at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships. It was her first major title, second career WTA Tour title and her first title overall since 2017. Vondroušová was the first unseeded woman to win the Wimbledon title, the first to contest the final since Billie Jean King in 1963, and at world No. 42 was the lowest-ranked champion since the WTA rankings were established in 1975. By winning the title, Vondroušová made her debut in the top ten of the WTA rankings.
