First Division. The promoted teams were
Fredrikstad,
KFUM and
Kristiansund. Kristiansund and Fredrikstad were promoted after respectively 1 and 11 seasons absent, while KFUM were promoted for the first time in their history. They replaced
Vålerenga,
Stabæk and
Aalesund, ending their top flight spells of 22 years, 1 year and 2 years respectively.
