FA Cup Brighton entered the competition in the third round, and were drawn away to Manchester United. They were then drawn away to Liverpool in the fourth round. EFL Cup Brighton entered the competition in the second round, and were drawn away to Oxford United. They were then drawn away to Barnsley in the third round.
