2026 South Carolina gubernatorial election

The 2026 South Carolina gubernatorial election is scheduled for November 3, 2026, to elect the next governor of South Carolina. Incumbent Republican Governor Henry McMaster is term-limited and ineligible to seek re-election to a third consecutive term. Primary elections will take place June 9, and in races where no candidate receives over 50% of the vote, runoff elections will take place June 23.
