The Government of Canada has established a large number of reserves for more than 200 First Nation band governments in its westernmost province of British Columbia. As of 2019, there were approximately 1,583 reserves in the province associated with 203 Indigenous Nations. While the majority of these reserves continue to exist, some parcels have been historically designated as 'no longer in existence,' often due to government actions like the 'cut-offs' implemented by commissions such as the McKenna-McBride Commission.
