Albert-Eden had a population of 96,630 in the 2023 New Zealand census, a decrease of 1,992 people (−2.0%) since the 2018 census, and an increase of 1,935 people (2.0%) since the 2013 census. There were 47,265 males, 48,708 females and 657 people of other genders in 33,300 dwellings. 6.1% of people identified as LGBTIQ+. The median age was 35.8 years (compared with 38.1 years nationally).
