Aldine first appeared as a census designated place in the
1980 United States census. 100.0% of residents lived in urban areas, while 0.0% lived in rural areas. There were 4,438 households in Aldine, including 3,436 family households. Of all households, 50.0% had children under the age of 18 living in them, 49.1% were married-couple households, 21.3% were households with a male householder and no spouse or partner present, and 23.0% were households with a female householder and no spouse or partner present. In the CDP, the population was spread out, with 33.1% under the age of 18, 11.4% from 18 to 24, 30.5% from 25 to 44, 17.6% from 45 to 64, and 7.3% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 28 years. For every 100 females, there were 107.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 106.4 males.
Income and poverty In 2000, the median income for a household in the CDP was $32,437, and the median income for a family was $35,518. Males had a median income of $28,779 versus $19,936 for females. The
