Alexander Michailovitsch Djakonov

Alexander Mikhailovich Djakonov was a Russian and Soviet zoologist, entomologist, Doctor of Biological Sciences, professor, and founder of the Echinoderm Department at the Zoological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Biography
Alexander Djakonov was born on 4 January 1886. His father, Professor Mikhail Alexandrovich Djakonov, taught the history of Russian law at the University of Yuryev. Later, his father was elected a member of the Academy of Sciences, prompting the family to move to Saint Petersburg. He died in Leningrad on 1 April 1956 and was buried at the Shuvalov Cemetery. == Awards ==
