Anwarul Islam was a Bangladeshi cinematographer and film director. He won the Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Cinematography for the film Charitraheen (1975).
Islam started his career as the assistant of Bengali film director Ajoy Kar. In 1956, he joined as a senior photographer at the Information Department in Dhaka. He received the Meril-Prothom Alo Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009 for his outstanding contribution to the Bangladeshi Film Industry. ==Filmography==
