The first post-World War II old-style Baedekers in English were published in the 1950s by Karl Baedeker Verlag, Hamburg, after the firm was revived in 1948. A guide to the General Government, the Polish land occupied by Germany, was published in 1943. With a few exceptions, classic Baedekers were published in German, English and French. These lists enlist the English Baedekers only.
