2020 census As of the
2020 census, Black Diamond had a population of 1,255. The median age was 66.9 years. 7.7% of residents were under the age of 18 and 54.2% of residents were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 86.8 males, and for every 100 females age 18 and over there were 87.1 males age 18 and over. 94.6% of residents lived in urban areas, while 5.4% lived in rural areas. There were 558 households in Black Diamond, of which 15.6% had children under the age of 18 living in them. Of all households, 71.9% were married-couple households, 9.7% were households with a male householder and no spouse or partner present, and 14.9% were households with a female householder and no spouse or partner present. About 19.5% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older., there were 694 people, 248 households, and 212 families residing in the CDP.
