Brian H. Coleman is a former Australian rules footballer who played with Hawthorn in the Victorian Football League (VFL).

From 1983 to 1995, Coleman was the Chairman of Selectors at Hawthorn. It was most successful period in Hawthorn's history, winning five premierships and playing finals every year. == Club President==

In 1995, the finances at Hawthorn were deteriorating, boardroom largesse was revealed, and pressure was put upon president Geoff Lord to resign. Coleman was elevated to clean up the finances. Coleman was club president in 1996. He presided over, and supported, the planned merger between Hawthorn and in 1996.
