Sadz dialect, and the , , , , , , and sounds are unique to Bzyb. Standard Abkhaz (which is based on the
Abzhywa dialect) lacks these sounds. The phoneme was originally a labialized pharyngeal fricative . The Bzyb
consonant inventory appears to have been the fundamental inventory of
