Political career
Veit became a member of the SPD in 1991 and a member of the Hamburg Mitte District Board in 2000. Since 2004, Veit has been a member of the Hamburg Parliament for the SPD. In 2016 she was appointed President of the BSPC. She was a SPD delegate to the Federal Convention for the purpose of electing the President of Germany in 2017 and in 2022. ==Other activities==
