Chateau Bouscaut was a small bay stallion with a blaze. Kircubbin, Chateau Bouscaut's sire, had won the Irish St. Leger Stakes and Prix d'Ispahan before retiring to stud in France, where he became a leading sire. Ramondie, Chateau Bouscaut's dam, also produced Rodosto, winner of the 2000 Guineas, Poule d'Essai des Poulains, and Prix d'Ispahan, among other races. == Racing career ==
Racing career
Chateau Bouscaut had an excellent racing career. He won all but one of his starts at two, including the Prix Robert Papin, Prix Morny, and Prix de la Forêt, and was named the French Champion Two-Year-Old Colt. The Grand Criterium was the only race he lost that year. All told, Chateau Bouscaut won ten of his eighteen starts and finished second or third an additional seven times. == Stud career ==
