CK-MB, also known as CPK-MB, is a cardiac marker used to assist diagnoses of an acute myocardial infarction, myocardial ischemia, or myocarditis. It measures the blood level of CK-MB, the bound combination of two variants of the enzyme phosphocreatine kinase.
