Creature Feature, presented in later years as Dr. Paul Bearer Presents, was a TV horror movie series on WTOG in St. Petersburg, Florida, from 1973 to 1995. The films were hosted by Dick Bennick Sr. Bennick was born on 3 November 1928 in Asheville, North Carolina. He was an actor and director, known for Creature Feature, Shock Theatre and Fright Theatre. He died on 15 February 1995 in Winter Haven, Florida. As Dr. Paul Bearer, he hosted a different classic horror film every Saturday afternoon at 2 pm. Bennick created the character at WGHP in High Point, North Carolina, for the station's Shock Theater in the mid-to-late 1960s after his previous persona, Count Shockula, proved less than satisfactory.
