She was born in
Ottawa,
Ontario. She is currently married to
Denys Arcand and she has produced many of his films. She was invited to join the
Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences Producers Branch in 2005, and is also a voting member of the
British Academy of Film and Television Arts and the
Académie des Arts et Techniques du Cinéma. She has also been inducted into the
Ordre des Arts et des Lettres and the
