Eileen R. Mackevich was an American historian who was the executive director of the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum from 2010 to 2015. She was unanimously recommended for this position by the Board of Trustees for the Illinois Historic Preservation Agency (IHPA), and the title was officially bestowed upon her in December 2010, by Illinois Governor Pat Quinn. A radio journalist, she had previously served as executive director of the national Lincoln Bicentennial Commission, and was founder of the Chicago Humanities Festival.
