Eucalyptus ignorabilis is a tree that typically grows to a height of and forms a
lignotuber. It has rough, fibrous, spongy bark on the trunk and branches. Young plants have
sessile leaves at first, the leaves lance-shaped to oblong or curved, dull green, long and wide. Adult leaves are lance-shaped to curved, long and wide on a
petiole long. The flower buds are arranged in leaf
axils in groups of seven on an unbranched
peduncle long, the individual buds on
pedicels long. Mature buds are oval to spindle-shaped, long and wide with a rounded to conical
operculum. Flowering has been recorded in January and April and the flowers are white. The fruit is a woody, cup-shaped to hemispherical
