Eucalyptus nova-anglica is a tree that typically grows to a height of and forms a
lignotuber. It has thick, rough, fissured, fibrous bark on the trunk and larger branches. Young plants and
coppice regrowth have
glaucous,
sessile heart-shaped to more or less round leaves arranged in opposite pairs, long and wide. Adult leaves are arranged alternately, the same green to bluish green colour on both sides, lance-shaped, long and wide on a
petiole long. The flower buds are arranged in groups of seven in leaf
axils on a
peduncle long, the individual buds on a
pedicel long. Mature buds are oval to diamond-shaped, long and wide with a conical
operculum. Flowering occurs between February and May and the flowers are white. The fruit is a woody, conical or hemispherical
