The exclamatory paradise whydah or Uelle paradise whydah is a species of bird in the family Viduidae. It is found in the Sudanian savanna region in Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Liberia, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, South Sudan, and Togo. It was formerly considered conspecific with the related species long-tailed paradise whydah Vidua paradisaea of eastern and southern Africa, being originally described as a subspecies of it.
