Population At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population (as Garamduz Rural District of the former
Khoda Afarin District in
Kaleybar County) was 11,434 in 2,360 households. There were 8,826 inhabitants in 2,291 households at the following census of 2011, by which time the district had been separated from the county in the establishment of
Khoda Afarin County. The rural district was transferred to the new
Garamduz District and renamed Garamduz-e Gharbi Rural District.
