2020 census As of the
2020 census, Granite Quarry had a population of 2,984. The median age was 40.0 years. 24.0% of residents were under the age of 18 and 17.1% of residents were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 94.1 males, and for every 100 females age 18 and over there were 89.6 males age 18 and over. 98.6% of residents lived in urban areas, while 1.4% lived in rural areas. There were 1,197 households in Granite Quarry, of which 34.7% had children under the age of 18 living in them. Of all households, 50.2% were married-couple households, 16.6% were households with a male householder and no spouse or partner present, and 26.8% were households with a female householder and no spouse or partner present. About 24.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. There were 1,290 housing units, of which 7.2% were vacant. The average household size was 2.50 and the average family size was 2.94. In the town, the population was spread out, with 26.1% under the age of 18, 8.1% from 18 to 24, 30.6% from 25 to 44, 21.6% from 45 to 64, and 13.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females, there were 93.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 91.4 males.
