racial makeup of the town was 80.80% White, 18.50% African American, 0.35% Native American, 0.17% from other races, and 0.17% from two or more races. Hispanics or Latinos of any race were 0.17% of the population. Of the 259 households, 26.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 49.4% were married couples living together, 15.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.7% were not families. About 29.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 15.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.21 and the average family size was 2.71. In the town, the population was distributed as 22.3% under the age of 18, 5.9% from 18 to 24, 21.3% from 25 to 44, 26.7% from 45 to 64, and 23.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 45 years. For every 100 females, there were 82.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 75.2 males. The median income for a household in the town was $28,250, and for a family was $50,179. Males had a median income of $28,125 versus $20,987 for females. The
