Hennadii Mykolayovych Shapovalov is a Ukrainian Ground Forces major general who is the Commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces from 19 June 2025. He served as the commander of the Operational Command South from 16 April 2024 to 4 February 2025.
Biography
Hennadii Shapovalov was born in Kirovohrad Oblast in 1978. In 2000, he graduated from the Institute of Tank Troops of the Kharkiv State Polytechnic University. On 20 June 2023, he became a member of the Commission on Coordination of Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine. On 16 April 2024, Shapovalov was appointed commander of the forces of the Operational Command South. ==References==
