2020 census As of the
2020 census, High Ridge had a population of 4,242. The median age was 42.4 years. 20.7% of residents were under the age of 18 and 16.7% of residents were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 99.0 males, and for every 100 females age 18 and over there were 94.9 males age 18 and over. 91.2% of residents lived in urban areas, while 8.8% lived in rural areas. There were 1,766 households in High Ridge, of which 27.6% had children under the age of 18 living in them. Of all households, 46.0% were married-couple households, 20.7% were households with a male householder and no spouse or partner present, and 24.0% were households with a female householder and no spouse or partner present. About 27.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. There were 1,863 housing units, of which 5.2% were vacant. The homeowner vacancy rate was 1.5% and the rental vacancy rate was 10.4%.

married couples living together, 11.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.4% were non-families. 20.8% of all households were made up of individuals, and 5.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.70 and the average family size was 3.13. In the CDP, the population was spread out, with 27.5% under the age of 18, 9.1% from 18 to 24, 33.3% from 25 to 44, 22.1% from 45 to 64, and 8.0% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females, there were 101.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 96.7 males. The median income for a household in the CDP was $46,742, and the median income for a family was $50,125. Males had a median income of $36,053 versus $27,394 for females. The
per capita income for the CDP was $17,959. About 4.7% of families and 5.4% of the population were below the
