Jan Radzynski is a Polish-born Israeli-American composer.

Early life and education
Jan Radzynski was born in Warsaw, Poland in 1950 to a musical family. His mother supported and guided his early piano studies, and one of his great-grandfathers had served as an army bandmaster in the Austro-Hungarian military before World War I. At Yale University, he worked with renowned composers Krzysztof Penderecki and Jacob Druckman, completing his master's degrees in 1979 and 1980, and a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in 1984. == Career ==

After completing his doctoral studies, he joined the faculty at Yale University, where he taught composition from 1980 until 1994. He was also awarded a Creative Work and Research Grant from the Rothschild Foundation in 1995, as well as various faculty grants and residencies in Israel and Switzerland. == Personal life ==
