Ting joined the faculty of
Temple University School of Law in 1977. He served in this capacity until 1993, when he returned to the faculty at
Temple University, serving as director of the Graduate Tax Program from 1994 to 2001. He serves on the boards of the Delaware Historical Society and the Center for Immigration Studies, a Washington, D.C., think tank. Ting testified before the
9/11 Commission in December 2003 on the subject of immigration and national security. Ting has also testified before the
United States Congress, and has published articles on the topics of taxation, immigration, and national security. He has been quoted in news reports and published commentary in various media including
