Jasmine Crockett has been labeled as a
progressive Democrat; however, she has personally distanced herself from the label, calling her positions "common sense".
Abortion Crockett has voted against rescinding
Title IX protections, limits on abortion-related coverage for service members, and funding for anti-abortion centers. According to crockett.house.gov, she consistently “pushes for federal legislation to protect the freedom and health of all women.”
Congressional reform Crockett supports reform to the current
filibuster rules in the Senate, including creating carveouts for certain categories of legislation like voting rights.
Economy Crockett supports raising the national minimum wage of $7.25. In May 2025, Crockett voted against the
One Big Beautiful Bill Act Gun rights Crockett owns a firearm and is licensed to carry and supports a ban on assault weapons. She has said that private individuals owning assault weapons is "the equivalent of some of these people having a cannon... People literally have almost no chance of surviving when some of these weapons are used."
Immigration and ICE enforcement In 2026, Crockett voted against funding the
Department of Homeland Security and voiced support for impeaching homeland security secretary
Kristi Noem.
Israeli–Palestinian conflict Crockett's voting record on issues related to the
Israeli–Palestinian conflict, including support for several pro-Israel resolutions and military aid measures during the
Gaza war, has drawn criticism. Crockett frequently frames her position as supporting Israel's security while pushing for humanitarian protections and ceasefire language. Americans for Justice in Palestine Action has given her low marks on issue-based scorecards and have urged her to
call for a ceasefire in Gaza. In August 2023, she attended a trip to Israel with other party members of congress to tour the
Iron Dome, however the facts have been disoriented by the media. The trip taken to Israel was an educational seminar, in which they attended meetings with Israeli officials, and Palestinian officials including a lead peace activist, and entrepreneur Adnan Jaber. The trip itself was taken before the
October 7th 2023 hamas attack, during August months before the conflict. The monetary details of the trip and the exact itinerary are also currently publicized and can be found here courtesy of the U.S House of Representatives Committee on Ethics. As for her position on the conflict (now war), it remains neutral with her explaining in a recent interview with
TheGrio she intended to provide her standing on recent voting actions that many have disagreed with. The full interview article reported by TheGrio is listed here, where Crockett explains the breakdown of how voting decisions were made, as well as to clear any misunderstanding from the media that has distorted her intent to the general public.
Track AIPAC has also characterized Crockett as having "a poor legislative record on Israel–Palestine issues". According to Track AIPAC, they claimed she allegedly received $86,112 from donors who also donated to
pro-Israel lobby groups. Since her response to this in which she accused Track AIPAC of being "
MAGA plants who are meant to disrupt and confuse". Track AIPAC.com no longer lists her as a recipient of the money, raising suspicion about the website and its overall credibility.
Supreme Court Crockett supports expanding the number of justices on the court and the adoption of an enforceable
code of ethics for the justices.
Voting rights In 2023, Crockett reintroduced the Democracy Restoration Act in the house, which would restore voting rights to millions of convicts who have been released from prison. Crockett said that only federal legislation can prevent millions of Texans from being disenfranchised and warned the changes could affect upcoming midterm elections, including Governor Abbott's re-election race. == Electoral history ==
