Italian film critic Marco Giusti described the film as "a Zorro of sorts in western flavor, slightly violent and with a poor adventurous mood". Corriere della Sera film critic Vincenzo Buonassisi referred to it as unoriginal, and paired it with The Scarlet Pimpernel.
