Aleksander Barkov was initially one of the six named to the roster on 16 June 2025, but suffered a torn
ACL and
MCL during training camp for the
2025–26 NHL season. He was subsequently ruled out for the following seven to nine months, including the Olympics. The final roster was named on 2 January 2026. On 3 February,
Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen was ruled out due to injury, and was replaced by
Joonas Korpisalo. On 8 February,
Mikael Granlund was named Finland's captain, with
Sebastian Aho and
