The construction of Keilor Plains station in 2002 was part of the extension of the
electrified network from
St Albans to
Sydenham. In 1994, a rail-road
roundabout was provided at the level crossing. In April 2007, construction commenced on a
grade separation project, which involved lowering the road underneath the railway line. The project had been completed by September 2008. From March 2016,
Protective Service Officers began patrolling the station every day, from 6pm to last service. ==Platforms and services==
