Kilmezsky District is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the thirty-nine in Kirov Oblast, Russia. It is located in the southeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 3,106.4 square kilometers (1,199.4 sq mi). Its administrative center is the urban locality of Kilmez. Population: 13,086 (2010 census); 16,132 ; 18,370 (1989 Soviet census). The population of Kilmez accounts for 45.5% of the district's total population.
