Kilosa District was many ports and towns centers which was used to facilitate Trade and other administrative activities The area which was more developed in Kilosa DC was following • Kilosa Town -This was Center for all activities and was the capital town of district and all offices of District found there such as Head office of CCM and other administrative activities. • Uhindini This was the head and central area for all trade activities in this District and all of these area was covered by shops and various of some super market for people to conduct their needs and was also features by existence of Kilosa Bus Terminal • Mikumi Town This was the most attractive area in Kilosa DC due to Attraction of animals and other tourist ports and these was the center of junction of Mikumi to Ifaka Town And Mikumi to Iringa region Also Mikumi to Dar es Salaam via Moro town. • Manzese This was very area which was developed for people to live and characterized by activities like trade and other human activities and was well developed due to road which was pass from Kilosa Town to Dumila Ports • Dumila This was town which was found on junction of Kilosa to Dumila and Dumila to Dodoma And last Dumila to Dar es Salaam via Morogoro This area was characterized by activities done in road such as trade • Ruhaa This was southern part of Kilosa DC was also well developed due to various activities such as the availability of Kilombero Sugar Industry and was good area for trade activities • Magomeni This was area found when you want to go to Mikumi you across these town and was characterized by the co-existence of high populated people in this District • Kichangani This also was another town which found in Kilosa was found on road to go Kimamba also was well know as Uswahilini street • Kimamba These was an old developed town in Kilosa was characterized by the activities of sisal plantation on large area Done by various people such as Ameli and was well developed in social means like trade ==Climate==

Kilosa is a station on Tanzania's east–west Central Line railway, and the junction where the Mikumi line branches to the south. Kilosa SGR Station lies on the Morogoro-Makutopora section (also referred to as the Morogoro-Dodoma section, or Phase 2) of the new Tanzania Standard Gauge Railway, intended to fully replace the Central Line. The Morogoro-Makutopora section began service on July 25, 2024, and was officially inaugurated by Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan on August 1, 2024. ==History==

Hehe Wars Kilosa was founded in November 1891, by German Colonial Lieutenant Tom von Prince, originally built as a fort named Kilosa, intended to protect the trading town of Kondoa, which it lay just to the west of. Using Kilosa Station and nearby Kisaki Station - which he founded in May 1892 - Lt. Prince began conducting raids into territory controlled by legendary Wahehe Sultan Mkwawa on both sides of the Great Ruaha River. Mkwawa did not back down when faced with this German Agression, having also won a major victory in Lugalo in July 1891. Mkwawa and his forces destroyed a German detachment near Kilosa in October 1892. World War I The Battle of Kilosa was fought during the East African Campaign in World War I. ==Demographics==
