Zeno was born in
Lafayette, Louisiana on October 16, 1954. He was the longtime bassist for
Buckwheat Zydeco. He was also a
session musician, contributing to the works of
Bobby Rush,
Irma Thomas and
The Neville Brothers. He won two
Grammy Awards. At the
66th Annual Grammy Awards, he won the
Best Regional Roots Music Album for his work on the Buckwheat Zydeco album
New Beginnings. At the
64th Annual Grammy Awards, he was awarded a Grammy for his contributions to the Corey Ledet Zydeco self titled album. Zeno died from cancer on May 3, 2026, at the age of 71. == References ==
