Shane Williams is a Welsh rugby union player who appeared 87 times for the Wales national team from 2000 to 2011. Playing exclusively as a wing for Wales, Williams scored 58 tries, the most for any Wales international and 13 more than second-placed George North. Williams also made four appearances for the British & Irish Lions, three as a wing and one as a centre. Williams scored two tries for the Lions, both from the wing during their victory over South Africa in the third Test of their 2009 tour of South Africa. At his retirement, Williams' 60 international tries placed him third on the worldwide all-time list, trailing Daisuke Ohata of Japan and David Campese of Australia; as of March 2018, he stands fourth, with South Africa's Bryan Habana having surpassed Williams and Campese for second place.
