Wyatt obtained a BSc in mathematics from the
University of Manchester in 1972. In 1973 she was awarded an M.Sc. in fluid mechanics from the
University of Bristol, and in 1976 she obtained her PhD in
physical oceanography from the
University of Southampton. In 1981 she began working on the oceanographic applications of
HF radar as a research assistant at the
University of Birmingham, and in 1987 she joined the Department of Applied Mathematics, the
University of Sheffield. Wyatt's research interests include high-frequency radar oceanography and ocean surface waves. She has been an associate editor of the
IEEE Journal of Oceanic Engineering. ==Recognition==
