Montricher is a municipality of the canton of Vaud in Switzerland, located in the district of Morges.

Montricher is first mentioned in 1049 as Mons Richarius. In 1301 it was mentioned as Montricher. ==Geography==

Montricher has an area, , of . Of this area, or 38.6% is used for agricultural purposes, while or 57.4% is forested. Of the rest of the land, or 3.0% is settled (buildings or roads), or 0.1% is either rivers or lakes and or 0.7% is unproductive land. Of the built up area, housing and buildings made up 1.0% and transportation infrastructure made up 1.5%. Out of the forested land, 53.9% of the total land area is heavily forested and 3.5% is covered with orchards or small clusters of trees. Of the agricultural land, 17.3% is used for growing crops and 9.4% is pastures and 11.6% is used for alpine pastures. All the water in the municipality is flowing water. The municipality is located in the forested foothills of the Jura Mountains. The municipality includes the peak of Mont Tendre, which is the highest peak in the Swiss Jura Mountains.
