Naomi Adeline Helen Bokenham was on 16 July 1914 in Green Point, Cape Town. She graduated the
Wynberg Girls' High School and entered the
University of Cape Town in 1932, completing a master's degree in 1935. In 1938, Bokenham married Arthur Millard and later settled in Pillans Road, Rosebank, raising a son and a daughter. In 1942, Millard was awarded a Ph.D. degree, and in 1946, she was appointed to the permanent staff as a lecturer. == Career ==
