2020 census As of the
2020 census, Neodesha had a population of 2,275 people, with 971 households and 577 families. The population density was 1,619.2 per square mile (625.2/km). There were 1,170 housing units at an average density of 832.7 per square mile (321.5/km). The median age was 40.2 years. 26.8% of residents were under the age of 18, 6.3% were from 18 to 24, 22.1% were from 25 to 44, 26.8% were from 45 to 64, and 18.0% were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 93.9 males, and for every 100 females age 18 and over there were 91.4 males age 18 and over. White alone, not Hispanic or Latino residents made up 84.0% of the population. The percent of those with a bachelor's degree or higher was estimated to be 14.6% of the population.

American Community Survey estimates show that the median household income was $48,549 (with a margin of error of +/- $7,004) and the median family income was $61,442 (+/- $16,007). Males had a median income of $40,823 (+/- $6,760) versus $30,208 (+/- $12,131) for females. The median income for those above 16 years old was $35,188 (+/- $7,275). poverty line, including 4.6% of those under the age of 18 and 3.4% of those ages 65 or over.

The average household size was 2.37 and the average family size was 2.96. The median age in the city was 39.2 years. 27% of residents were under the age of 18; 7.3% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 22.5% were from 25 to 44; 26.8% were from 45 to 64; and 16.5% were 65 years of age or older.
