2020 census As of the
2020 census, New Market had a population of 1,525. The median age was 35.9 years. 36.5% of residents were under the age of 18 and 8.0% of residents were 65 years of age or older. For every 100 females there were 93.5 males, and for every 100 females age 18 and over there were 99.4 males age 18 and over. 85.0% of residents lived in urban areas, while 15.0% lived in rural areas. There were 474 households in New Market, of which 61.2% had children under the age of 18 living in them. Of all households, 75.5% were married-couple households, 8.2% were households with a male householder and no spouse or partner present, and 12.4% were households with a female householder and no spouse or partner present. The average household size was 2.84 and the average family size was 3.11. The median age in the town was 36.3 years. 29.6% of residents were under the age of 18; 6.7% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 30.8% were from 25 to 44; 25.5% were from 45 to 64; and 7.5% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the town was 47.4% male and 52.6% female.
2000 census According to the 2000 Census, there were 159 households, out of which 38.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.2% were
married couples living together, 10.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.6% were non-families. 23.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 3.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.69 and the average family size was 3.24. The median income for a household in the town was $62,292, and the median income for a family was $67,292. Males had a median income of $45,455 versus $25,313 for females. The
per capita income for the town was $22,102. None of the families and 0.7% of the population were living below the
poverty line, including no under eighteens and 6.9% of those over 64. ==Education==
