Percy Viosca

Percy called attention to coastal erosion in Louisiana in 1925. He maintained that man made flood protection, deforestation, deepening channels, and the cutting of navigation and drainage canals across the southern Louisiana marshes, as a cause for erosion. He died of cancer in 1961 at the age of 69. ==Selected bibliography==
