2020 census As of the
2020 census, there were 6,660 people, 3,483 households, and 2,165 families residing in the CDP. Of households, 2.1% had children under the age of 18 living in them. Of all households, 61.9% were married-couple households, 8.7% were households with a male householder and no spouse or partner present, and 26.9% were households with a female householder and no spouse or partner present. About 32.9% of all households were made up of individuals, and 27.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. There were 6,634 housing units, of which 42.8% were vacant. The homeowner vacancy rate was 1.9% and the rental vacancy rate was 15.0%.

The average household size was 1.84 and the average family size was 2.12. In the CDP, the population was spread out, with 3.4% under the age of 18, 0.7% from 18 to 24, 4.2% from 25 to 44, 33.9% from 45 to 64, and 57.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 67 years. For every 100 females, there were 84.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 84.0 males. The median income for a household in the CDP was $102,762, and the median income for a family was $127,920. Males had a median income of $100,000 versus $44,286 for females. The
