Peter Zeitlinger

Peter Zeitlinger A.S.C. is an Austrian cinematographer. He has worked with the director Werner Herzog since 1995 and is best known for their collaborations, which have mainly been in documentary films.

Life and career
Peter Zeitlinger studied from 1980 to 1987 at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna. He was influenced by Michael Snow and Peter Kubelka, followed by Vittorio Storaro, Sven Nykvist, and Vilmos Zsigmond. He began working with Werner Herzog with the 1995 film Death for Five Voices, a documentary film about Carlo Gesualdo, and their first fictional film collaboration was Invincible in 2001. Zeitlinger is a member of the German Film Academy and Professor of Cinematography at the University of Television and Film Munich. He lives in Premariacco, Italy. ==Work with Werner Herzog==
