United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit from 2008 to 2009. She was an associate at
Munger, Tolles & Olson in
San Francisco from 2009 to 2012. On July 28, 2021, a hearing on her nomination was held before the
Senate Judiciary Committee. On September 23, 2021, her nomination was reported out of committee by a 13–9 vote. On October 26, 2021, the
United States Senate invoked cloture on her nomination by a 52–46 vote. On October 27, 2021, her nomination was confirmed by a 52–46 vote. She received her judicial commission on November 2, 2021. She was sworn in on November 3, 2021. She is the first judge of South Asian descent to serve on the District Court for the District of Connecticut. ==See also==
