The Shire of Bungil was a local government area in the Maranoa region of Queensland, Australia. It existed from 1880 to 2008.

History
Wallumbilla Division (later renamed Booringa Division) was established on 11 November 1879 as one of the original divisions proclaimed under the Divisional Boards Act 1879 with a population of 3217. On 21 May 1880, part of Wallumbilla Division was separated to create Bungil Division. On 31 March 1903, Bungil Division became Shire of Bungil under the "Local Authorities Act 1902". The Bungil Shire Council's offices at 1 Cartwright Street, Roma () are now used as a depot by the Maranoa Regional Council. ==Towns and localities==
